Welcome to the 2010 CHET Dream Big! Competition News Page!

Connecticut K-5 students from across the state entered the 2010 CHET Dream Big! Competition to tell us what they dream of doing after college. The drawing and essay contest provided a way for students to express themselves creatively while having a chance to win money that could go toward college.

The parents or legal guardians of County winners each won a check for $250. The parents or legal guardians of Merit winners each won a check for $50. Also, the top ten teachers whose students submitted the most entries each won a $50 gift card for OfficeMax® to help purchase classroom supplies.

The purpose of the CHET Dream Big! Competition is to encourage families to start thinking about how higher education may help their children realize their dreams and make a difference in the world, and to promote the importance of saving early for college.
